About Treestats
Tree Survey, Consultancy and Reporting Specialists
Treestats evolved from the growth of the survey and consultancy part of the business of Greenman Environmental Management Limited (GMEM) and was birthed from the divergence between arboricultural and landscape contracting and survey, consultancy and advice in the field of arboriculture, amenity tree care and woodland management.
Our core tree survey, consultancy and reporting work involves:
- Surveying, reporting and advising on trees and woodlands in relation to planning and development (to British Standard BS5837-2012 Tree in relation to design, demolition and development -Recommendation). From domestic projects to large and major developments, re-developments and major infrastructure schemes. Providing Tree Constraints surveys, plans and reports through to Arboricultural Implication Assessments and Detailed Method Statements.
- Surveying large (and small) tree populations for tree risk to Duty of Care holders, advising on tree populations, species make up, amenity and ecological value, longevity and general loveliness (or not, as the case may be!)
- Advising on Tree Preservation Orders, Conservation Area constraints and opportunities, managing neighbour disputes and mediation and interpretation.
- Compiling tree and woodland planting and re-stocking plans, working with other landscape professionals to tailor each scheme to suit the desired outcomes.
- GIS (Geographical Information Systems) assessments to map and analyse and interrogate tree population and other data and make lovely maps.
- Felling Licence Applications.
- Liaison with ecologists, planners, and landscape architects to join up planning applications to ensure best chance of success and limit client risk.
- Veteran and Ancient tree assessment in the context of historic landscapes in conjunction with other landscape and environmental specialists.
- Tree surveys and reports for subsidence or mortgage purposes.
- Advice on recommending and monitoring quality of tree works (tree surgery), development site compliance surveys.
We are based in the south west of England with roots in Wales but we work all over the UK and Republic of Ireland, we have been known to stray into France, Spain and Italy and given the right motivation, we’ll go anywhere if it sounds interesting. We can always find someone who can help you, at any scale, in any landscape or environmental field, if we cannot do it. Just ask. We will know someone who can.
We love our fellow professionals and work with them for a better future and a better ‘place’ for all of us
